Contact chips or contactless chips

We can produce cards for you using the majority of existing technologies.

Two types can be distinguished:

  1. contact chips,
  2. contactless chips.

Contactless chips

Contactless chips or RFID (Radio Frequency Identification chips), use a method to store and collect data by using tags. These chips contain an antenna connected to an electronic chip which receives and replies to radio transmitted requests issued by the transceiver.

The RFID chip contains an identifier and, where applicable, additional data. This technology can be used for:

  • Access control
  • Time management
  • Electronic banking
  • Logical access
  • Biometrics

Each RFID chip uses a frequency which varies depending on the type of application and results sought. For example, a higher frequency has the advantage of enabling an information exchange (between the scanner and the tag) at higher speeds than in low frequency. Higher frequencies enable the implementation of new functionalities in the tags (cryptography, larger memory, anti-collision). However, a lower frequency has better penetration

From a practical standpoint, the highest in demand RFID chip is the Mifare model simply because it is the most widely used around the world and is based on ISO 14443A and 15693 standards. However, we can provide the majority of existing technologies such as HID, NEDAP, STID, etc.

Contact chips

The contact chips is a chips set up on the card, whose permit to connect it with the reader.
