How to switch your student card to the ISIC card

The ISIC card has been recognised and accepted for over 50 years around the world: it is the famous “green card”.
In January 2008, a new card design was introduced worldwide with new co-branding rules for educational establishments.

The objective of these rules is to:

  • Meet educational establishments’ expectations by allowing more space for their visual identity on the front side of the card. The examples below show what it is possible to produce,

  • Keep graphic elements which are essential for the ISIC card to be internationally recognised (design, ISIC serial number, security components, etc.).

 Minimum design requirements

The document gives a detailed presentation below on the compulsory graphic elements of the ISIC card. When your student card is brought in line with the ISIC card, your design standards must be reconciled with ISIC’s design standards.

As stated above, ISIC’s design standards have considerably changed in order to allow more space for establishments’ design standards. ISIC’s minimum remaining design requirements ensure that the status of the establishment’s students will be recognised so that they can take advantage of all student discounts and ISIC benefits around the world.

The minimum design requirements applied, below, to an ISIC card are the same for the ITIC card.
